A bowl of the famous tonkotsu ramen. The broth is apparently made from pork bone, which gives the entire thing a really greasy feel to it. What's remarkable about this bowl is that the store that makes it is only open for TWO HOURS A DAY. It was delicious.

This ramen is truly worthy of mention as it has two types of pork; one is seasoned and the other is regular. Very delicious and thick tonkotsu soup. This is located right outside of Ishikawacho station; Motomachi side.

Tonkotsu, or Hakata, ramen is a noodle based dish with a pork broth and usually contains pork fillets and chopped spring onion, among other ingredients. The Japan Times recently reported that these Stalls were in danger of disappearing from the streets of Fukuoka altogether, due to complaints from locals over sanitation issues, problems caused by the blocking of pedestrian walkways and licensing restrictions placed on the owners.
