Tofu Steak - Momotaro Rahmen AUD6
Another day, and yummy Japanese meal at Momotaro! We decided to try a clear shio-style soup (shio means salt) this time, and it was very tasty too! This ramen included a big wad of wakame seaweed and slices of lean chashu pork. We also got a small tofu steak as a side dish. Nice firm tofu with a enoki mushroom and carrot sauce, which a a bit gluggy, but still flavoursome. One of the reasons we avoided getting a second bowl of noodles is so that we could try the dessert! We never managed to get through to dessert! This time, we managed to get the Green Tea Crepe Layer Cake with Green Tea Ice Cream. The green tea ice cream was smooth, creamy and enough of the green tea bitterness to make it authentic. The cake itself was good, but the layers of green tea cream seemed to make the crepes soggy and not as chewy as I had liked.
