Drunken diners enjoying some delicious "Tonkotsu" ramen at a Yatai stall in Tenjin, Fukuoka. Tonkotsu, or Hakata, ramen is a noodle based dish with a pork broth and usually contains pork fillets and chopped spring onion, among other ingredients. The Japan Times recently reported that these Stalls were in danger of disappearing from the streets of Fukuoka altogether, due to complaints from locals over sanitation issues, problems caused by the blocking of pedestrian walkways and licensing restrictions placed on the owners.
